Ras Kass Challenges Religion, History, ISIS & Also Speaks Kanye and Jay-Z

West Coast heavy-hitter, Ras Kass swung by Sway in the Morning and opened up about his new album, Blasphemy, produced by Apollo Brown. Of course, we had some questions about the title, so Kass filled us in with his thoughts and challenges religion, history and more.

XXL – G-Unit Documentary

I’m pleased they are back. The EP is dope and I reckon they will give the mainstream rap game the shot in the arm it needs. No doubt they will start some fresh beefs as well.

For the October/November 2014 issue of XXL the Unit gives the magazine a behind the scenes look at what’s going on with the crew. Enjoy.

Pete Rock – Time Is Illmatic (Mixtape)

Nice mixtape form the legendary Producer. Peep the info below:

Pete Rock’s new Time Is Illmatic mixtape includes contributions from the holy trinity of producers who contributed to Illmatic (Large Professor, Pete Rock, Q-Tip, DJ Premier, L.E.S.) and brings things full circle twenty years after Illmatic’s release.

Pete Rock says “I was motivated to produce this mixtape because Time Is Ilmatic is a part of hip hop history that everyone should know about; and have in both their music and now film collection.”

iStandard Exclusive iNterview with Baby Paul (Parts 1, 2 & 3)

Now this is a great watch from 2013 that I’ve stumbled upon. Baby Paul is a real talented dude. Peep the info below:

iStandard’s co-founder J Hatch recently caught up with multi-platinum and Grammy nominated producer and A&R Baby Paul (aka BpZy) for an exclusive in-studio iNterview. As an original member of the 1990’s production team Da Beatminerz and having worked on classic albums for artists such as Heltah Skeltah, Nas, M.O.P., Black Moon, Kanye West, Fat Joe and more, Baby Paul and J Hatch’s conversation touches on a variety of music production related topics providing plenty of insight, knowledge and inspiration for any and all producers.
