While the 90’s may have been a pinnacle time for producers in terms of innovation, experienced heads can tell who’s in the game to make a quick buck and who’s crafting songs to help diversify the genre’s existence. If you fall under the latter — that is to say, you enjoy sharp lyrics and beats that’ll force you to spit your best 16, then Long Island’s very own Diabolic will be right for you with his DJ Premier produced single, “Diabolical Sound,” taken from his forthcoming LP, ‘Fightin Words.’ As the legendary Premo builds upon his signature style to create a sinister anthem akin to what brought him to the forefront of the game during the genre’s Golden Era, Diabolic delivers bar after bar of creative genius that runs circles around your typical radio rapper’s cookie cutter rhyme scheme. “Diabolical Sound” is the first lead track taken from Diabolic’s ‘Fightin Words’ LP, which is set to drop on September 16th. The album includes features from Sean Price, Vinnie Paz, Celph Titled, RA the Rugged Man, and more.. stay tuned for more heat from Diabolic!

In 1997 Company Flow, The Juggaknots and J-Treds joined forces to become The Indelibles. What we have here is footage from their Fat Beats NYC in-store for the release of “The Fire In Which You Burn” (Official/Rawkus). Watch Breeze Brewin’, J-Treds, El-P and Bigg Jus rip the mic (one mic at that) as they perform “Fire” while Mr. Len aka Space Ghost spins the instrumentals. Then get ready for some bonus rounds with additional footage from some of the aforementioned along with Queen Herawin, Wordsworth and ILL BILL. Shout out to Pumpkinhead, A.L. Skills, Rok One and Max Glazer who also rocked earlier that day while we were all waiting for J-Treds’ late ass to show up.
NEHip-Hop.com have always got the interviews the real heads want to hear. They only deal with the true artists. Peep the info below:
We met up with Skyzoo and Torae, AKA The Barrel Brothers, before their show at Brooklyn Bowl to talk about everything from their name to whether or not they think the Illuminati is real.
To kick it off they talk about that nights performance being backed by a full band and how it feels to be performing in a bowling alley. They also get into why they decided to drop the record on Duck Down and how its a good fit for them at this point of their careers. Continuing on we get into their history together and how the name “Barrel Brothers” originally came to be.
In Talking about their album, the two emcees let us know what tracks they think are their favorites as well as what track sums up the album as a whole. To close it out they also let us know who they want on the next Barrel Brothers record, how their recording process goes and what kind of chemistry they have when working together.
Finally they drop a few words of wisdom for everyone out there and let us know their thoughts on if the Illuminati is really real.

I’m surprised that I missed this a few months back so here it is now for your visual pleasure. Please be aware this isn’t for the faint hearted…. If your familiar with the song from the album you know what I mean. For the real horror film heads you’ll notice the Maniac dialogue sample at the start.
